As a devoted Harry Potter fan, the new movie, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, brings back the familiar mixture of excitement and sadness—the same mixture that came with the release of the final book.

I have yet to see the movie but, judging from the trailers and buzz on Facebook and Twitter, the movie delivers on all punches. I think I am hesitating to see it because, with its release, comes the actual realization that my beloved Harry Potter grows up and moves on.

No more epic Quiddich games on his broomstick, no more spells and potions gone wrong, and no more laughs and tears with a group of awesome wizards. When the 7th book ended, we still had the movies to anticipate.

Now we look forward to silence and our imaginations. But maybe that’s not such a bad thing.
