People spend the majority of their time sitting, either at their desk, on the sofa or in the car. To make the most of your time, we’ve found a few exercises that can be done while you’re at work.

Studies have shown that even a few extra minutes of movement a day can add up to a lot. Start your day off by parking in the far corner of the parking lot, or even one block away from the office. It will only add a few minutes to your commute and adds up to an extra 50 minutes of movement per week!

If possible take the stairs when you get to the office.

Once you get to your desk there are a few ways to add activity and cut down on the pounds. Start by downsizing your cups. Smaller cups mean more trips to and from the water cooler, and that means more movement.

Leading a more active lifestyle leads to lower weight and a longer life. It also decreases all the aches and pains that we get from sitting at a desk all day.

The office environment is full of excuses to get up and move, you just have to look for them.
